Our Company Holiday Policy outlines the recognized holidays and provides guidelines for holiday pay and working on holidays. This policy ensures that employees are informed about their entitlements and that our practices respect diverse cultural and religious observances.
π Policy Elements
Observed Holidays:
- The company observes the following holidays: New Yearβs Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Good Friday/Easter Monday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
- If a holiday falls on a weekend, it will be observed on the closest business day.
Floating Holidays:
- Employees are entitled to one floating holiday per year, which can be used for any day of their choosing. Unused floating holidays do not carry over.

Holiday Pay:
- Exempt employees receive their regular pay on holidays. Non-exempt employees who work on a holiday are entitled to premium pay.
- Part-time employees will be paid based on their usual working hours for that day.
Working on Holidays:
- If work on a holiday is required, employees will be informed in advance. Non-exempt employees will receive overtime pay if applicable, and exempt employees will receive an additional day off.

Religious Holidays:
- Employees may take unpaid time off for religious holidays or use their floating holiday or PTO. Requests should be made in advance and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Leave During Holidays:
- If an employee is on leave during a holiday, they will be compensated according to their leave status (e.g., PTO, sick leave).
