AI tokens are usage credits that allow you to use AI-powered features on Whale. Features that use AI tokens include AI Quiz generation, converting videos to guides and creating AI-assisted cards.

Ask Alice, your AI knowledge assistant that’s trained on your workspace content and can answer questions about your SOPs, policies, procedures, and company knowledge, does not use AI tokens. 

How many tokens do I get:

  • Free plan: 20 AI tokens (one-time allocation)
  • Team plan: 25 AI tokens per month
  • Scale plan: 75 AI tokens per month
  • Enterprise plan: 500 AI tokens per month

Important details:

  • AI tokens are allocated per workspace (not per user), so all users in your workspace share the same token pool
  • On paid plans, tokens automatically reset at the start of each month
  • If you run out of tokens before the month ends, you can request more or upgrade your plan

Yes, you can purchase additional users on any paid plan. Here’s the pricing:

Team plan:

  • Includes 10 users
  • Additional users: $15/month (monthly billing) or $10/month (yearly billing)

Scale plan:

  • Includes 25 users
  • Additional users: $18/month (monthly billing) or $12/month (yearly billing)

Enterprise plan:

  • Contact sales for pricing on additional users

Note: The Free plan is limited to 5 users maximum and does not allow purchasing additional user seats. To add more than 5 users, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan.

Yes, you can export your SOPs on the paid plans of Whale. This feature is not available in the free version. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Free plan: Export and print features are not available
  • Team plan and above: Full export functionality is included
  • Export format: SOPs can be exported as PDF files for offline use or sharing
  • Microsoft Word: Direct export to Word is not currently supported. If you need a Word file, you’ll need to convert the PDF using another tool

Your data is stored in SOC 2 compliant, enterprise-grade data centers, and yes, you can choose where it’s hosted. We offer two locations:

  • Europe: Belgium (GDPR compliant)
  • United States: Iowa

During setup, you can select which location best suits your needs. This gives you control over data residency, helping you meet compliance requirements and optimize performance based on your team’s primary location.
