Not sure where to start?
Guidde is an AI video documentation tool. It captures what you do on screen and turns it into a polished step-by-step video guide with an AI voiceover, and it can convert that guide into a written article. At that job it is genuinely very good, and this page does not pretend otherwise.
Whale is a different shape of product. It is an SOP, training and knowledge platform: written procedures and video living in one searchable place, each with an owner, a version history and a review date, plus training flows, read assignments, quizzes and approval cycles. The honest question is not which tool is better, it is whether you need polished video guides or a system that runs your processes and trains your team against them.

Whale is built around the whole life of a procedure, not just its creation. Every SOP has an owner, a version history and a review cycle. You can assign it, confirm it has been read, and test understanding with AI-generated quizzes. Approval flows and expert review cycles keep content trustworthy as it changes, an org chart maps processes to roles, and template libraries mean you are not starting from a blank page. Whale records screen walkthroughs too, with a built-in Step Recorder and Video to SOP, and through Whale’s MCP external AI tools can read and write your documentation directly.
Guidde is excellent at the thing it is built for. It captures a workflow from your screen and produces a polished video guide with an AI voiceover, in a large library of voices and more than 50 languages, and it will convert PDFs and slide decks into video as well. Broadcast then delivers those guides inside tools like Salesforce, ServiceNow and Zendesk, which is a real strength. What it is not is a written-SOP system of record: guides come from capture rather than from templates, there is no org chart or role-based process mapping, and structured training paths run through SCORM export to your own LMS rather than inside the product.
Whale is rated 9.6 out of 10 for ease of use on G2 and is built so a non-technical team member can document, find and train on a process without help. The setup that matters is structural: where procedures live, who owns them, and who has to read them.
Guidde is very quick to start. Install the extension, record a workflow, and you have a narrated guide within minutes, which is why it spreads fast inside teams. The friction appears later and is organisational: a growing library of videos still needs owners, review dates and a way to prove people watched and understood them.
Whale provides a responsive team on live chat and email, plus Coaching & Training services and a Migration service that will take the documentation you already have, wherever it lives today, including exports from other tools, and get it in properly.
Guidde offers email and chat support on all plans, with a dedicated Customer Success Manager, custom onboarding and 24/7 priority support on its higher tiers.

“Next to their very competitive pricing, their support is from out of this world. We used other tools before, but we left a bit hanging in the past regarding the support piece. Stino & his team are always available whenever we have a query which is amazing!”
Jonas M., Small-Business (50 or fewer employees)

Guidde is an AI-powered video documentation platform. It captures what you do on screen and turns it into a polished step-by-step video guide with an AI voiceover, and it can convert that guide into a written article, or turn an existing PDF or slide deck into a video. Its Broadcast product delivers those guides inside tools such as Salesforce, ServiceNow and Zendesk, and Ask answers questions from the library you have built.
Guidde is priced per creator, and viewers are free on every plan: only admins, content managers and creators use a paid seat. The Free plan is $0 and covers up to 25 how-to videos with web capture only. Pro is $19 per creator per month billed annually, or $29 monthly, which removes the watermark and lifts the video limit. Business is $39 per creator per month billed annually, or $59 monthly, adding desktop capture, analytics and unlimited text-to-voice for up to 5 creators. Enterprise is priced on request and adds SSO, multi-language translation, PII redaction and content review. There is also a 7-day Business trial with no credit card required. Confirm current rates on Guidde’s own pricing page.
Guidde makes video guides. Whale runs your processes. With Guidde you get a polished narrated walkthrough of a task, delivered where people work. With Whale you get written SOPs and video in one searchable knowledge base, each with an owner, a version history and a review date, plus training flows, read assignments with completion tracking, quizzes, approval cycles, and an org chart that maps processes to roles. If the problem you are solving is “we need better how-to videos”, Guidde is a strong answer. If it is “nobody knows which procedure is current, or whether the team has read it”, that is what Whale is for.
Per creator, Guidde is cheaper, and it is only fair to say so: $19 to $39 per creator per month against Whale plans starting at $249 per month. They are not the same purchase, though. Guidde prices a video creation tool per seat. Whale prices a platform that includes written SOPs, training flows, onboarding, quizzes, approval workflows and knowledge search, with unlimited members and creators included in each plan. Whale also has a Free plan that is free forever for up to 10 members, so you can test the fit before spending anything.
Whale. Guidde is strong at AI-generated video documentation. Whale keeps video alongside written SOPs, checklists and policies in one searchable place, then assigns it as training with quizzes and read tracking, so you know the process was understood and not just watched.
