Avior Wealth

How Avior Wealth trained a fast-growing team across 8 locations

Avior Wealth is an investment advisory firm named one of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies, expanding from one office to eight locations across seven states in seven years. Cindi Bohrer, Director of Operations, needed one place to train new hires consistently.

The challenge

Avior needed one searchable place to store its SOPs and processes and to train new hires across eight locations. Everything had to live in a single, centralized source the whole team could reach.

We really wanted something that we could use to provide learning and training opportunities for all of our employees irrespective of where they found themselves.

Before Whale
SOPs and processes had no single home across eight locations
New hires were hard to train consistently from site to site
No searchable database for the team to find answers
Training opportunities were uneven across locations
After Whale
One searchable knowledge base across all eight locations
New hires train from the same material wherever they join
Answers are a quick search away for the whole team
Most of the team keeps Whale open in the browser all day

The solution

How Whale solved it

Process consultant and Whale partner Adi Klevit worked with Avior to create, centralize, and share SOPs on Whale, with one uniform voice across the content. The team now has a single source for both documentation and answers.

Documenting our processes was one part of it but we needed to have one spot where people could go and get the answers. A kind of Google search, if you will, for our business.

The results

Eight locations, one knowledge base

Every location trains from the same central source, so the experience is consistent wherever someone joins.

Training people can return to

Team members go back into training whenever they need it, instead of relying on paper notes that get lost.

Whale open all day

Most of the team keeps Whale pulled up in the browser, so answers are always in reach.
